Country has sunk into revamp of crises while errant aristocrats were holding it hostage: Liaqat Baloch


LAHORE, Feb 10 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami and president political and national affairs committee Liaqat Baloch on Friday stated that country has sunk into revamp of crises while errant aristocrats were holding it hostage.

Liaqat Baloch while addressing the central training centre said that ruling class has nothing except delivering speeches and media talks whereas the country was falling in quagmire of disasters. But the ruling junta, he noted was revolving around its own interests.   

He stated the current agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will not be a first one but in the past Pakistan reached over 23 agreements with the Fund; however, army rulers, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muslim League and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) didn’t adopt the course of reforms hence its unjustified conditions will leave the masses half-dead.

In the prevailing economic situation, trade, agriculture, industry and business circles where hanging in the balance, he stated and added inflation and unemployment were heading towards chaos. To get rid of economic crisis, he stated there is need of seriousness, honesty and competency.

Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami stated the Jamaat-e-Islami will get the country out of inflation and economic crises through self-reliance, self-confidence, reliance on nation and resources and restoration of confidence of overseas Pakistanis. He warned production cost was going up and added if it was not stopped the default and downfall will definitely occur.

Meanwhile, addressing at a wedding function at Faisalabad, Liaqat Baloch said that holding election within 90 days after dissolution of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies was a constitutional restriction and continued that army, police, security and administrative institutions could not violate Constitution.

He further said that this aforesaid issue was being taken to the courts and added the entire nation expects that superior courts will not surrender before establishment and powerful mafia with regard to postponement of polls. He stressed upon the judiciary to act according to the spirit of Constitution while compensating what it did in the past.

During his meetings with leaders and delegations of Quetta at Mansoorah, Liaqat Baloch said that the nation has confronted terrorism with full vigor and determination but the current unity government and PTI cannot sit together at this juncture. Solutions to the country problems lay only with the enforcement of Islam and supremacy of Constitution of Pakistan, he concluded.
