Maryam Nawaz urges people to get ready for party’s sweeping victory in the upcoming polls
BAHWALPUR, Feb 01 (SABAH): As the elections in Punjab draw closer, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice-President and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz Sharif has urged the people to get ready for the party’s sweeping victory in the upcoming polls. She said that PML-N is not scared of the elections, adding that the PML-N has come out in the field and whenever elections are held these will be swept by PML-N. Maryam Nawaz also announced to expose group of five in front of masses. She said that Khosa, dam wala baba, Imran Khan and his two crutches have reached their logical end.
Addressing a workers’ convention in Bahawalpur on Wednesday, Maryam Nawaz Sharif began her address by expressing grief over the Peshawar Police Lines blast praying for the lives lost and a peaceful Pakistan. The suicide bombing at a mosque has claimed over 100 lives and injured more than 220 people.
Maryam Nawaz also conveyed Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s regards to the people of Bahawalpur, a key city in Punjab. “Nawaz Sharif asked me to begin the political campaign from Bahawalpur.”
Speaking on her newly-designated positions in the party, the PML-N vice-president said that the party titles have recently been given and she cherishes her supporters’ love more than the designations granted to her.
“A lot is being said about my position [in the party]. I was standing with you all without the position and you stood with me too. I salute the people of Bahawalpur for supporting us during our testing times,” she said, deeming her supporters as her biggest strength after Allah.
The party’s stalwart also spoke about the time when her voice and that of the PML-N supremo was shut down on the media, the supporters became their voice.
Maryam Nawaz said that the gang of five has reached its logical end and her party will steer the country out of problems. She said that saving the country from gang of five was the PML-N’s responsibility whether it’s Imran Khan, Asif Saeed Khosa, ex-CJ Saqib Nisar or two of his props.
Maryam while mentioning zero load shedding during her father and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s tenure, stressed that the PML-N is making Pakistan stand on its feet again. She said that the sugar was sold at Rs 50 per kg during the PML-N supremo’s tenure.
Turning her guns towards Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan, the PML-N chief organiser said that the incumbent government was bound to increase the price of petrol due to Imran Khan’s agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
She claimed that the PML-N government had saved Pakistan from the brink of devastation. “It was easy for us to go to the polls, but instead we chose the difficult path to bring the country back on track,” she added.
Maryam urged party workers to become a voice of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif on social media. Nawaz Sharif crushed terrorists with operation Zarb-e-Azb but the terrorism is once again resurfaced.
