Govt of Japan donates state-of-the-art x-ray machine to ‘Alkhidmat Foundation’
KARACHI, Jan 31 (SABAH): X-Ray machine donated by the government of Japan has been handed over to Alkhidmat Foundation.
In connection with this a ceremony was held on Tuesday morning at Alkhidmat Abdussalaam Medical Centre. Consul-General of Japan in Karachi Odagiri Toshio along with Chief Executive Alkhidmat Naveed Ali Baig inaugurated the x-ray machine.
Deputy Consul-General Yasushi Nakagawa, Executive Director Alkhidmat Rashid Qureshi, Director Diagnostic Dr Azeemuddin, Director Health Dr Saqib Ansari, doctors, paramedical staff and office-bearers were present at the ceremony. Founder of hospital late Dr Abdussalaam’s wife respected Zahida also participated.
On this occasion, Odagiri Toshio expressed his confidence in the Alkhidmat Foundation and appreciated its services. He said that Japan and Pakistan have a bond of love with each other and hoped his hope that Karachities will definitely benefit from the medical equipments.
He also denounced the suicide attack inside a mosque at police lines in Peshawar and expressed his sympathies with the Pakistanis from the Japanese side.
Chief Executive Alkhidmat Naveed Ali Baig shed light on the continuing services of Alkhidmat Foundation, especially in the health sector and it was running four big hospitals in the port city of Karachi along with other medical centers, clinics, diagnostic centers and collection points – maintaining standard at all its organisations and hospitals.
He said at present, the health facilities were not beyond the reach of citizens and added “we are trying our best to provide services matching with the international services. Thanking Almighty Allah, people rely on the Alkhidmat Foundation in connection with this.”
Naveed Ali Baig further said x-ray machines donated by the government of Japan will prove to be helpful in providing up to the mark facilities to the patients. It is welcoming for Alkhidmat Foundation that the government of Japan and Consul-General rely on Alkhidmat Foundation which is their basic asset, he added.
“We are grateful to the government of Japan for extending cooperation. Alkhidmat’s work has been continuing for over years which is basic reason behind this trust. God-willing this cooperation will continue,” he concluded.
