Security withdrawn from Imran’s Bani Gala residence
ISLAMABAD, Jan 27 (SABAH): Islamabad Police on Friday withdrew security from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan’s residence in the federal capital, Bani Gala.
Punjab Home Department has also written a letter to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to call back the provincial police from the former prime minister’s house in Zaman Town, Lahore.
According to media reports, Bani Gala is the private residence of the former Prime Minister. He has not been staying in Islamabad for the past several months.”
Deputy Superintendent of Police and 170 policemen were stationed at Khan’s house in Islamabad. Security personnel will be on duty in different shifts at Banigala, the reports stated.
Frontier Corps and KP Police were also withdrawn. 50 policemen of KPK have also left while performing duty at PTI chief’s Bani Gala house.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Home Department has also written a letter to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government that the KP police should be recalled from the former prime minister’s house in Zaman Town, Lahore.
In a letter to the KP government, the department mentioned that 50 security personnel — who were called to Lahore on November 10 last year — could be called to Khan’s residence once again if required.
