Desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden is an intolerable action: Sirajul Haq

RAWALPINDI/MARDAN, Jan 22 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden is an intolerable action, adding that joint efforts are needed to end Islamophobia. He said that in the result of the begging bowl mission not of country but the circumstances of the rulers were changed. He said that the country and masses only faced destruction in governments of troika. He said that the country defaulted politically, economically and socially, adding that all three big political parties have been tested and they are unable to control the worsening situation of the country. He said that mafias are on their mercy and their parties and governments are on the mercy of these mafias.

This was stated by Sirajul Haq while addressing the workers convention at the Rawalpindi Arts Council in Rawalpindi and later on addressing the Khatam-e-Bukhari Sharif ceremony at the Jamia Miftahul Uloom in Mardan. On the occasion Emir JI district Rawalpindi Syed Arif Shirazi, Raza Ahmed Shah, Secretary General JI Khyber Pakhtunkwa Abdul Wassey and district emir Mardan Ghulam Rasool were also present.

Sirajul Haq said that now Jamaat-e-Islami is the only solution, adding that if with the blessings of Almighty Allah and with the backing of masses, the JI will come into power it would enforce the Islamic system in the country and will make Pakistan prosperous, clean, green and corruption free great state. He said that with the blessings of Almighty Allah the mayor of Karachi will be from Jamaat-e-Islami, adding that Karachi will soon start journey towards development and prosperity.  

While condemning the disgraceful act of desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, Sirajul Haq said the extremists practice under the grab of so-called freedom of expression were unbearable to more than 1.5 billion Muslims across the world. It badly hurt the sentiments of every believer, he added, demanding the rulers of Muslim world and the OIC take strict act against the incident. He said Islamophobia had reached to unprecedented peak in Europe and some other parts of world. The OIC and the UNO, he said, should develop a mechanism to stop hatred against Islam, Muslims and Islamic culture.

Talking about political and economic situation of the country, Sirajul Haq said the PDM, the PPP and the PTI governments failed to fix the economy and check the inflation. The people of Pakistan, he said, tested repeatedly the three parties but they deceived the masses every time they were provided opportunity to govern the country. He said the economic policies of the incumbent and the former governments revolved around foreign loans. He said the ruling troika failed to introduce good governance and stop corruption. Every prime minister, he said, took the begging bowl and traveled around the world and it had been happening in the country since decades. He said the PDM government failed to provide relief to the masses and put the people in the queues for a bag of flour. He said thousands of educated youths were leaving the country in search of jobs, finding no employment opportunities in the country.

Sirajul Haq said the PDM, the PPP and the PTI were the sides of same coin and they were fighting for self-interests. He said the key to resolve all the problems was Islamic system. If voted into power, he said, the JI would introduce Quran and Sunnah based system and put the country on track. He said the JI was fighting for corruption free Pakistan.
