Ahsan Iqbal challenges Imran Khan to contest election from Narowal
ISLAMABAD, Jan 22 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry on Sunday said it had been proved that former prime minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan was creating permanent anarchy, disorder, confrontation and uncertainty in Pakistan.
During in an interview with a private TV channel, Ahsan Iqbal said that Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf while using his powers approved the resignations of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members. “Imran Khan is committed to contest for elections again and again and then go for the resignations. It is his passion. So we want to remain him busy,” he added.
He further said that International Monetary Fund (IMF) program and other conditions were not a result of their sins but it was legacy of Imran Khan’s government as he made agreement with the IMF, adding that Imran Khan did not implement this agreement. “We are doing each and every thing in the interest of the country and the people know we are not responsible for this,” he added.
Meanwhile Ahsan Iqbal challenged Imran Khan to contest election from Narowal. He berated the former premier, saying that the country was crushed, when he was imposed in 2018. He lamented that during the PTI-led government, the opponents had to face the worst form of political victimization.
He said PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif was returning to the country and would play a role in restructuring. He unequivocally added that the entire PML-N was united under the leadership of party supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, and that the country learned that he [Nawaz] was disqualified as a result of a conspiracy.
