Muslim League Jammu Kashmir salutes its incarcerated Chairman Masarat Alam Bhat for the courage & steadfastness


SRINAGAR, Jan 12 (SABAH): Muslim League Jammu Kashmir has saluted its incarcerated Chairman, The Iron man of Kashmir Resistance Masarat Alam Bhat for the courage and steadfastness.

The incarcerated Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has spend half of his life in Indian jails for his commitment and ideology for the cause and representing aspiration of  Kashmiris for the right of self determination according to UNSC resolutions through a free and impartial Plebiscite and has become Asia’s longest serving Political Prisoner without trial.

Muslim League JK strongly condemns massive crackdown operations in Jammu region of disputed territory. Indian  Occupational troops along with members of dreaded Village Defense Guards continue the house to house searches on the residences of Muslims continuously for the second week, in several villages and towns of Poonch and Rajouri of Pir- Panchaal Range, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban,of Chenab valley, and Reasi and Kathua districts.

Indian Occupational forces has along with , Indian paramilitary forces  has also raised a pro- India militia in the name of Village Defense Guards which comprise Hindus and has started imparting arms training to its members. According to media reports the training camps has been established at Mahadev Menka firing range near the ceasefire line in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district which has caused a sense of fear among the Muslims of the region.

Muslims League JK strongly condemned atrocities and harassment of the Muslims of region facing at the hands of Indian occupational forces. Almost four dozen Muslim youth have been arrested and women are being interrogated in police stations and army camps.

Muslim League JK appealed to international community to wake up to the realities on the ground and to protect Kashmiri people against Indian genocidal act. The international community needs to open its eyes and see impartially what is happening in international recognized disputed region. Moreover, the Islamic republic of Pakistan who is principle party to the dispute has moral responsibility to approach secretary general of United Nation and OIC to stop India from committing crime against humanity in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
