Western nations should stop unconditional economic, moral & political support to Israel: Lolwah Rashid Mohammed Al-Khater

CAIRO, Dec 05 (SABAH): Qatar’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson and Assistant Foreign Minister Lolwah Rashid Mohammed Al-Khater has said time has approached that western nations should stop unconditional economic, moral and political support to Israel. She said there were no concerns with regard to Hamas as it was established later in 1984 while the issue was that of reduction approach under which Palestinians were being tried to be decreased in number since 1948.

Lolwah Rashid Mohammed Al-Khater said this while interviewing with the US TV “Sky News”. She said even decades before the establishment of Hamas, Palestinians were being suppressed. To a question, she said that the United Nations Human Rights Commissioner noted that the course of oppression was carried out by Israel which could transform into war crimes while the commissioner didn’t say that attacks were perpetrated by Gaza.

Qatar’s Assistant FM said, “We are not talking on behalf of both the sides but we are talking about a nuclear State, with one of the best armies among armies of the world while on other side people are without any State, under oppression for decades.”

During the interview, Lolwah Rashid Mohammed Al-Khater showed pictures of Palestinian children who were martyred in the result of Israeli oppression. These children didn’t belong to Hamas but they were Palestinian children, she said. She also showed picture of a US social worker Rachel Corrie who was killed in 2003 by the Israeli soldier.

She maintained that Israeli soldiers have been killing journalists and social workers so that they couldn’t speak truth. “It is not oppression ongoing from both the sides but basically an occupation. It is the last colonial power which we all know at present,” she added.
