Emir JI Sirajul Haq congratulates newly-appointed Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim

LAHORE, Nov 24 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has congratulated Malaysia’s veteran opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim on his swearing in as the country’s new prime minister.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Sirajul Haq hoped that Malaysia will make further progress and development under the leadership of Anwar Ibrahim. Sirajul Haq said that the Islamic world needs such a leader who could deal with the challenges faced by Muslim Umamh.

Sirajul Haq said that Anwar Ibrahim has carried out long struggle for the protection of the Muslims and he is aware about their problems and challenges, which Muslim world is facing. He said that it is hoped that Anwar Ibrahim being a prime minister will provide better guidance to Malaysia and Muslim Ummah.

Sirajul Haq hoped that Pakistan-Malaysia relations will further strengthen under the leadership of Anwar Ibrahim.
