Pakistan’s development, peace, prosperity impossible without getting rid of curse of interest: Ameerul Azim


LAHORE, Nov 21 (SABAH): Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameerul Azim presided over the meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami’s different departments at Mansoorah where different nazims presented him performance reports of four months.

In the meeting, matters relating to Jamaat-e-Islami’s preparations about launching a movement against interest-based economy came under discussion. Ameerul Azim said that Jamaat-e-Islami was struggling to purge the national economy of riba and God willing it will remain successful in connection with this.

He went on to say that on Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq’s appeal, Eradication of Interest Day “Yome Insadad-e-Sood” will be celebrated with zeal and fervor. He was of the view that country’s development, peace and prosperity were impossible without getting rid of curse of interest and held interest-based economy responsible for inflation, unemployment and poverty and continued the rulers should come to their senses and need to prepare a free-of-riba roadmap in the light of Federal Shairat Court’s judgment.
