PDM & PTI’s lust for power further increased the problems of country: Sirajul Haq


LAHORE, Nov 20, (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that Pakistan Democratic Movement and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s lust for power further increased the problems of country. He said that the country has become very weak in result of the begging bowl mission continues from last many decades, adding that the current government while increasing the debts of country manifold has put unbearable burden on the future generations. He said that all three big political parties completely failed to bring the country out of economic problems, adding that the future generations will not pardon the facilitators of the status quo.

This was stated by Emir JI Sirajul Haq while addressing the participants of the training workshop at Mansoorah on Sunday.

Sirajul Haq said that may be Pakistan is the only country in the world of which rulers go abroad while holding begging bowl but their protocol is far bigger than those who give loans, adding that unfortunately in our country the guard has been continued to change but the outdated system remained the same. He said that while changing the guard there is also need of changing the system so that the country in true meanings could move towards prosperity and development.

Sirajul Haq said that JI will continue its struggle against interest based system, corruption, unemployment and inflation, adding that the time has come that the masses while rejecting the status quo political parties should use their vote for Islamic system in the country so that the country could be run according to the constitution in real meanings. He said that currently Jamaat-e-Islami is the only option, which has the capability to bring the country out of problems.

Sirajul Haq said that political dialogue is necessary prior to the next elections so that all political parties should have consensus on the new social contract and electoral reforms; otherwise the political crisis in the country will further deepen. He said that this is time for all political parties to start the dialogue on three points including supremacy of the constitution, electoral reforms and to end the establishment’s interference in politics.

While talking about the protest going on in Gwadar from last three weeks, Sirajul Haq said that the rulers should listen the voice of the helpless people, adding that “Give Right to Gwadar Movement” will not end till the resolution of the problems. He said that Gwadar is termed as game changer but the people living there from centuries are deprived of the basic facilities of the life. He said that the current and past governments did not fulfill the promises made with the people of Gwadar, adding that instead of resolution of the problems of masses the employment of the poor fishermen was snatched.

Sirajul Haq said that the founder of the “Give Right to Gwadar Movement” and Secretary General JI Balochistan Maulana Hidayatur Rehman and protesters including women, children and men are patriotic Pakistanis and love Islam and they are only demanding fulfillment of promises made by government with them. He said that whole Pakistan supports the ongoing movement for rights of Gwadar.
