Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq, Fazalur Rehman, others express grief over death of renowned Muslim scholar Mufti Rafi Usmani
ISLAMABAD, Nov 18 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq on Friday expressed his condolence on the demise of prominent Muslim scholar Mufti Rafi Usmani, who died in Karachi after protracted illness.
While expressing his grief and sorrow, Sirajul Haq stated that services of late scholar will always be remembered and added the Muslim Ummah was deprived of an important figure. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman also expressed his grief over the incident.
Moreover, Jamaat-e-Islami emir Sirajul Haq said that the late Mufti led the Pakistani people in several ways and he was respected by all circles of life. Born in 1936, Muhammad Rafi Usmani was a religious scholar, jurist and author who served as the President of Darul Uloom Karachi.
