Ahsan Iqbal says he is hopeful that CJP will take notice of attack on Imran Khan & will constitute a high level team for investigation of this incident

NAROWAL, Nov 05, (SABAH): Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry has said extremism cannot be eliminated as long as the religious card continues to be used in politics. Ahsan Iqbal said that he is hopeful that Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial will take notice of the attack on Imran Khan and will constitute a high level team for investigation of this incident so that everything should become crystal clear. He said that Imran Khan says nine bullets hit him but he is delivering speech in a manner that nothing has happened to him. He said that Imran Khan is acting so actively that it looks he has just come out of a coffee shop.

While talking to newsmen at Narowal, Ahsan Iqbal said PTI Chairman Imran Khan became victim of religious extremism, as he himself used it to incite religious sentiments through his poisonous statements.

Ahsan Iqbal said the former PTI Government had used religious card against him, due to which a youth attacked him.

He said the PTI Chairman is leveling baseless allegations against sensitive state institutions and enemy’s agencies must be rejoicing today as the PTI Chief is talking as per their liking. He said that the limits should not be crossed in politics that for your ego, stubbornness and selfishness the interests of the country should not be put at stake.

Ahsan Iqbal said that we condemn the attack on Imran Khan, adding that we want to ask some questions about this incident, adding whether this incident has not occurred in limits of Gujrat. Whether Imran Khan’s government is not present in Punjab, whether Imran Khan and his people are not saying that they come to know 24 hours prior that attack could occur in Wazirabad, adding that if they had knowledge then what arrangements were made, why this incident was allowed to happen. He said that why police was not allowed to conduct the postmortem of the killed person, adding that why Imran Khan’s medico legal was not allowed so that it could be determined the nature of the wounds. Whether fire was fired from short or long range and of which weapon fire hit him. He said that Dr. Faisal Sultan informed the nation that Imran Khan’s MRI and X-ray was conducted and ordinary splinters hit his one leg but later on all the narrative was changed and it was said that two shots hit him and later on it was said nine shots hit him.

Ahsan Iqbal said that Imran Khan’s narrative is continuously changing, adding that whether we are living in Stone Age. He said that the nation is seeking the answers of these questions. He said that why the crime scene was washed, adding that crime scene is basic thing in any crime. He said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s murder crime scene was also washed and why his own government and administration in Punjab spoiled the crime scene.

Ahsan Iqbal said that why Imran Khan is not ready to hold investigations of the matter with the help of our institutions, why FIR could not be registered instead of passing 36 hours, adding that why Imran Khan wanted to keep this matter secret. He said that why Imran Khan did not organize transparent investigations into the attack. He said that highest level investigations are required to investigate this matter as the incident has happed with the former prime minister.

He said that Imran Khan continuously wants to keep the matter secret and continuously stopping the transparent investigations into the matter.

He said Imran Khan is now inciting his followers and youth against national institutions.

Ahsan Iqbal said that Kashmir was sold during the tenure of Imran Kahn and not of Nawaz Sharif, adding that Modi annexed Kashmir and Imran Khan remained silent for three years. He said that Imran Khan legitimize the annexation of Kashmir by India while remaining silent for three years, adding that Imran Khan has sold the rights of the Kashmiris. He said that Imran Khan has no right to taunt us regarding Kashmir issue; rather he should look into his own collar. He said that Imran Khan is the follower of Hitler and we need to remain cautious.
