Though Imran Khan claimed bringing State of Madina’s system but style of his governance proved to be redundant: Liaqat Baloch

MUZAFFARGARAH, Oct 22 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and Secretary General Milli Yakjehti Council Liaqat Baloch on Saturday said that though former prime minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan claimed bringing State of Madina’s system but style of his governance proved to be redundant and it would have been much better if he had not adopted the same attitude demonstrated already by Sharif family, Zardari family and civil and military bureaucracy with national Toshakhana.

Liaqat Baloch said this while replying to questions of journalists in Muzaffargarah. During the previous government of PTI, he said all showed laxity towards Khan’s myriad flaws, moral defects and his terror-stricken style of government and followed corrupt practices instead of his revolutionary claims of governance that is lamentable.

There are possibilities of coming of betterment from this visible immorality that this may press the masses in putting weightage of their opinion in favour of truth, honesty and standard while quitting their blind emotional attachment, the JI naib emir said.

He said that staging protests, long marches, sit-ins were political, democratic and Constitutional right of every party; however, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Balochistan were governed by Pakistan PTI which is why staging protests under supervision of its own governments cannot bring palpable outcomes but only will cultivate hardships for the public at large.

Liaqat Baloch said that utilizing legal course is Constitutional right of PTI but Imran Khan can take prudent decisions while coming out of his current state of being in dilemma as mantra of political gathering may come to fore in the shape of instability and may destabilize political and electoral system but it cannot bring a real change. To a question of a journalist, he said that claims of holding protests and long march under the supervision of his own governments, hope of protection from court in advance and extending olive branch to establishment behind the curtain will be ultimately dictated by someone else as a change in system demands change in character.

Liaqat Baloch said that asymmetrical, instable, emotional and extremist approach of protests further exacerbates the situation as the entire nation had already saw outcomes of revolutionary slogan of “vote ko izzat do” whereas Jamaat-e-Islami will activate the masses for rooting out useless and corrupt practices.
