Pakistan exiting FATF grey list is a vindication of our determined & sustained efforts over the years: PM Shehbaz


ISLAMABAD, Oct 21 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan exiting the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list is a vindication of our determined and sustained efforts over the years.

In a statement issued on twitter on Friday, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that “I would like to congratulate our civil and military leadership as well as all institutions whose hard work led to today’s success. Aap sab ko bohat bohat Mubarak”.

Shehbaz Sharif said that “I would particularly commend the role and efforts of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and their teams and all political parties for putting up a united front to get Pakistan out of the grey list. Alhumdulillah!”.

Meanwhile in a separate statement issued on Friday, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that removal of Pakistan from the FATF grey list is recognition of the sacrifices of Pakistan in war against terrorism, adding that efforts of Pakistan against anti-terrorism have been acknowledged by the world. PM Shehbaz Sharif thanked all the countries present in FATF for accepting Pakistan’s stance.

PM Shehbaz Sharif has also thanked all the coalition parties and their leaders who supported vigorously in achieving this success, adding that with the blessings of Almighty Allah, we have succeeded again to get remove Pakistan from FATF grey list like prime minister Nawaz Sharif. PM Shehbaz Sharif said that we cooperated in this matter in the national interest while remaining in opposition and while tolerating the allegations of NRO.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that we have always given priority to the state interest that is why today Almighty Allah has give this success, adding that with the blessings of Almighty Allah, removal of Pakistan from FATF grey list will last positive impacts on Pakistan’s economy, diplomacy and politics. PM Shhebaz Sharif said that with the blessings of Almighty Allah, the nation will hear good news stories in the days to come.
