JI women wing workers asked to pace up polling campaign, take part in one million telephone calls drive
KARACHI, Oct 15 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has asked workers of the JI women wing and social media activists to pace up the campaign in connection with the October 23rd local government elections and participate in the one million telephone call drive.
Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views while addressing the women workers convention, held at New MA Jinnah Road, here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, he directed all the party workers to utilize the remaining days with proper planning and urged them to make phone calls to all their acquaintances, asking them to vote for the JI in the local bodies polls.
He said that all members of the society should come forward on October 23 to exercise their right to vote. The massive turnout on the day will foil the designs of those who are intended to highjack the election, he expressed his hope.
Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Karachiites have been surrounded by piles of problems since long because nobody took stand for the city and citizens. He said that both the MuttahidaQaumi Movement and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf failed Karachiites and did nothing to resolve the issues.
He further said that the ruling parties as well as the PTI were responsible for the prevailing situation of Karachi and Karachiites. He added that Karachiites want to change their fate and get rid of the traditional dynastic political parties.
He appealed all political workers, belonging to any political party, to vote for the scale on October 23 for the sake of Karachi. JI women wing leader AsmaSafeer also addressed the convention.
