Rulers lack courage to properly respond the US President over the latter’s remark against country’s nuclear program: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE, Oct 15 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Sirajul Haq has said the rulers lack courage to properly respond the US President Joe Biden over the latter’s remark against country’s nuclear program.

Talking to journalists at Greater Iqbal Park Lahore on Saturday, Sirajul Haq said the ruling parties were always keen to show allegiance to Washington rather to serve the masses. He said he hoped the government would realize the sensitivity of the matter and give befitting response to the US, representing the nation’s sentiment. It was not Pakistan but the US which posed threat to world peace, he added.

Sirajul Haq visited the park to review the preparation for Youth Leadership Convention which is scheduled to be held there on October 30. He said the present and past governments showed least interest in the betterment of the youth which made 65 percent of country’s population. He said drugs culture was destroying the young generation. He said millions of educated youth was unemployed and thousands left the country finding no job here. He said the government so-called schemes to provide loans for creating job opportunities also failed to deliver. He said banks were providing loans on tough conditions and heavy interests.

Sirajul Haq said the JI wanted the youth play their role in nation building as they were only hope left now. He said the PDM and the PTI destroyed every sector, leaving the masses in worst trouble. Poverty, unemployment, inflation and corruption were plaguing the country as the rulers lacked vision to fix these issues. Youth should come forward and launch a struggle to get rid of the tested parties, he said.

Sirajul Haq expressed regret over the killing of Federal Shariat Court former chief justice Muhammad Noor Miskinzai. He said the law-and-order situation was deteriorating in every part of the country and particularly in KP, Balochistan and Karachi. He said the government must protect the life and property of the masses as it was its prime responsibility.
