Alkhidmat Foundation sends eight Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration Plants to flood ravaged areas of Sindh, Balochistan

LAHORE, Sep 26 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation has sent eight Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration Plants to flood ravaged areas of Sindh and Balochistan.

President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Muhammad Abdus Shakoor while addressing the ceremony stated that Alkhidmat Foundation is keeping continue its activities associated with the people affected by the heavy rains and floods and continued that in the affected areas, in wake of unavailability of clean drinking water, diarrhea and others diseases were outbreaking.

Alkhidmat Foundation managed 13 Fixed Water Filtration Plants for flood ravaged areas whereas for transporting potable water to remote areas, it arranged seven Mobile Water Filtration Plants, he said, and added one plant is equipped with the capacity of purifying 2,000 litre of water per hour.

He said that Alkhidmat Foundation placed water tanks at every nook and corner of the tent colonies and these are routinely refilled through Mobile Water Filtration Plants at Sukkur, Jacobabad (Sindh), Rajanpur (South Punjab) and Jaffarabad (Balochistan).

Moreover, more than 9,000 jerry canes were also divided among the victims, he explained and said that more than 180,000 persons are being provided with potable water.

Muhammad Abdus Shakoor said that trackers will be installed at filtration plants in the offing so that recording of their movement may be undertaken in a most proper way and continued supply of water will be kept continue until the complete restoration of flood victims.

President Alkhidmat Foundation Central Punjab Ikramul Haq and representatives of Aghosh UK, Lions Club International, UC-3, Mir T, Shimlaz and others were also present on the occasion.
