Today, the so-called ‘genius’ left country on brink of bankruptcy: Imran Khan


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan hinted that the PTI may rejoin the Lower House of the Parliament if the diplomatic cipher on regime change conspiracy was investigated properly.

PTI Chairman said that if the letter sent by the President Dr. Arif Alvi to the Chief Justice of Pakistan was investigated thoroughly, then there was a possibility to consider his party’s return to the Lower House.

He made these remarks during a special session with a group of journalists here on Saturday. PTI Central Secretary General Asad Umar, former Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen and Economic Affairs Spokesperson Muzamil Aslam were also present on the occasion.

He said that lawmakers openly sold their consciousness to change loyalties to oust his government but ironically no one took notice of it.

During the meeting, the country’s overall political and economic situation and PTI’s economic strategy and future goals were discussed threadbare.

Regarding Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s address at the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Imran said: “Shehbaz’s UNGA speech was an announcement of the country’s bankruptcy”.

He said that Shehbaz and Miftah Ismail had ruined country’s economy, who was treating cancer with disprin.

PTI Chairman stated that the current government closed the cases of NAB amounting to Rs 1100 billion and now Nawaz Sharif was returning to Pakistan.

Imran Khan warned the establishment in a timely manner that the economy cannot afford political instability. He said that the cabal of crooks was brought in through foreign-backed conspiracy without any preparation to handle the economic situation because their main objective was to protect and safeguard their theft of billions of corruption.

PTI Chairman said that the conspirators wanted to topple PTI government was to paralyze Pakistan economically, which was their main agenda and goal. “Criminals under the guise of democracy are active in politics, how is it possible to hold talk with them,” Imran Khan added.

He said that when PTI was doing legislating relating to FATF came, these thieves pushed for NRO, adding that oil in the world market was at half the price then the PTI era but even then Ishaq Dar left the biggest deficit of $ 20 billion.

“Today, the so-called “genius” who left the country on the brink of bankruptcy is being brought back to further add to fire,” Imran Khan added.

The first year of his tenure was spent in stabilizing of the economy and the next two years were spent on saving the people and the economy from the effects of Corona, Imran Khan said.

He said that the starting point for reforming the current economic disaster was political stability because without political stability, no plan to restore the economy would be effective, adding that the door of political stability would be opened with transparent elections.

Imran Khan said that he had cordial relations with the military establishment when in power but now he was part of the opposition and relations with the establishment was important for the government.

 PTI Chairman said that those who were helping Pakistan to avert the bankruptcy would set harsh conditions. He warned that weak economy was creating serious threats to our sovereignty. PTI Chairman stated that it was next to impossible to fight corruption without the system of punish and reward.

He went on to say that development of industry and agriculture was important to increase income and wealth production, adding that he would give more privileges to the industry if he got power in the future.

Imran Khan stated that he would strongly encourage overseas Pakistanis to invest in Pakistan, adding that there were difficulties in pursuing independent foreign policy.

“If you make it a policy to get dollars in exchange for services, you can never get a respectable place in the comity of nations,” he added.

He said that foreign policy was formulated according to the interests of its people, adding that if he was not removed, he could have talked to America.

PTI Chairman stated that normalizing ties with India despite the abolition of the statehood of Kashmiris was tantamount to betrayal of the freedom struggle of Kashmiris.

He said that Modi was never serious about talks with Pakistan, adding that Pakistan’s downfall was BJP’s desire and long-standing commitment.

PTI Chairman said that Pakistan would not run like it has been run till now, adding that establishment of a stable government as inevitable, reforms in the system of government were necessary.

He said that the PTI was doing hard work not only to prepare a team but also to ensure achieving the set goals.
