Cases against PML-N leadership were lodged purely on the desire of Imran Niazi: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD, Sep 21 (SABAH): Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry has announced to complete the Narowal Sports City Complex and make it as a facility for the players with the best and latest facilities. He said that the recovery of the additional amount to be spent on the construction of the Narowal Sports City Complex will be made from Imran Niazi and NAB because due to them this project was destroyed. He said that the cases against the PML-N leadership were lodged purely on the desire of Imran Niazi.

While talking to media persons outside the Islamabad High Court after being exonerated in Narowal Sports City Complex reference of NAB, Ahsan Iqbal said that former prime minister Imran Niazi and former chairman NAB Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal had lodged the Narowal Sports City Complex reference against him during the campaign which was started for the character association of the PML-N leadership. Ahsan Iqabl said that he had to spend time in the death cell at Adyala Jail. He said that during the hearing of the case on Wednesday CJ IHC Athar Mianallah asked question from NAB prosecutor that what is the proof of corruption against Ahsan Iqbal, adding that CJ IHC asked NAB prosecutor that if there is any doubt of corruption in the then he should inform the court about it. He said that NAB had not option but to acknowledge that there is no allegation of corruption in this reference.

Ahsan Iqabl said that he wants to tell the nation that the person who while speaking the lies is running the film of thieves and dacoits from last many years, adding that this person lodges fake cases against the PML-N leadership and used these cases as pretext to misguide the nation. He said that Imran Niazi should come and see what it is the reality of his false allegations, adding that it is the result of the cases which were lodges by Imran Khan against PML-N leadership that he is roaming on the roads today. He said that Imran Khan has lost the mental balance. He said that Imran Khan failed to break our courage through these cases as we were not used to come on wheelchairs to attend case proceedings. He said that Pakistan is burning in the fire lit up by Imran Khan.

He said that the chairman NAB had taken notice on the news story published in an anonymous newspaper that the cost of the project is Rs 6 billion, adding that the real cost of the project was Rs 2.9 billion. He said that millions of rupees of Pakistan were wasted on the basis of a false news story. He said that NAB has wasted millions of rupees in this case to prove falsehood as truth, adding that instead of doing this NAB could not prove falsehood as truth. He said that truth has been prevailed. Ahsan Iqabl said that he was thankful to the people of Narowal who rejected this character assassination campaign, adding that the way PML-N leadership and workers from whole country expressed solidarity with them during these cases he is thankful to them and congratulate them on this success. He said that the cases against the PML-N leadership were lodged purely on the desire of Imran Niazi. He said that Imran Khan did not like our politics and speeches so he wanted to silence us. He said that NAB-Niazi nexus has been exposed, adding that Imran Khan was used to runt the chairman NAB and NAB through remote control. Ahsan Iqbal said that Narowal Sports City Complex case is the classical example of the political engineering and its purpose was our character assassination and silence our voice.
