PM Shehbaz meets French President Emmanuel Macron & New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern on the sidelines of UNGA session
NEW YORK, Sep 20 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met with Emmanuel Macron, President of France on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly 77th Session.
Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr. Miftah Ismail Ahmed,
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar, SAPM Syed Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood were also present on the occasion.
Prior to the meeting Marriyum Aurangzeb in a statement issued on twitter said that PM Shehbaz Sharif will hold bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at sidelines of UNGA 2022 session in NY, will express gratitude over emergency relief to flood victims, reinforcing renewed efforts to boost economic linkages.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met Karl Nehammer, Federal Chancellor of Republic of Austria on the sidelines of 77th Session of UNGA.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif interacted with Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand at the welcoming reception by UN Secretary General for Heads of State/Government participating in the seventy-seventh session of UNGA.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif attended the opening of the General Debate in the General Assembly of the United Nations.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, MoS Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram was also present on the occasion.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived at UN Headquarters to attend the welcoming reception by UN Secretary General for Heads of State/Government participating in the UNGA’s 77th session.
Earlier in the day Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he will present Pakistan’s case on issues of immediate attention during his address to the UN General Assembly session and bilateral meetings in New York.
In a tweet on Tuesday after reaching New York, the Prime Minister said he will tell to the world Pakistan’s story of deep anguish and pain arising out of a massive human tragedy caused by floods.
