PM Shehbaz says in his address at UNGA & bilateral meetings, he will present Pak’s case on issues that call for world’s immediate attention


NEW YORK, Sep 20 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that he reached New York a few hours ago to tell Pakistan’s story to the world, a story of deep anguish and pain arising out of a massive human tragedy caused by floods.

PM Shehbaz Sharif in a statement issued on twitter said that in his address at United Nations General Assembly and bilateral meetings, he will present Pakistan’s case on issues that call for world’s immediate attention.

Earlier Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in New York as a Head of Delegation to attend the UN General Assembly’s 77th Session.

Ambassador Munir Akram, the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan received him at the airport along with senior officials of the Ministry. Mission’s officers and Staff greeted him at the hotel.

Prime Minister of Pakistan was accompanied by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ms. Marriyum Aurangzeb and others.

Meanwhile in a separate tweet PM Shehbaz Sharif said that he was deeply touched by Palestinians’ gesture of sending their Rapid Response and Rescue team to help flood victims in Pakistan.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that it is a reflection of a strong bond of love and brotherhood we have for each other. We will never forget this gesture. Grateful to President Mahmoud Abbas, he said. PM also shared the flags of both Pakistan Palestine along with his tweet.
