No wonder on U-Turn of Imran Khan over his statement about Army Chief: Sherry Rehman  

ISLAMABAD, Sep 14 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Climate Change, Senator Sherry Rehman has said that there is no wonder on U-Turn taken by former prime minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan on his statement about the Army Chief, being routine matter for him throughout his life.

Sherry Rehman expressed these views through her statement on Twitter on Wednesday. She said that Imran Khan gives such statement while keeping in mind type of forum as well as with respect to some opportunity and particular connection as these were his swing Yorkers.

The minister said that appointment of Army Chief is a Constitutional matter, adding decision on which will be taken at the fixed time and in the light of Constitution. She said that Imran Khan is linking this matter to the holding of early elections for the sake of his political interests. “How can a person who fled from the Parliament, give dictation on such Constitutional matter,” she questioned.

Sherry Rehman said that Pakistan Terhreek-e-Insaf was linking a Constitutional appointment with its political narrative and its own interests. She said that the institution which wants to keep it away from doing politics while Imran Khan is hell-bent to make it part of its political narrative. The minister was of the view that assistance and rehabilitation of flood victims is the first and foremost priority of the government.
