J&K DFP condemns systematic killing of Kashmiri youth by Indian forces

SRINAGAR, Sep 14 (SABAH): Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has condemned in strong terms the killing of Kashmiri youth in fresh acts of state terrorism by the Indian occupation forces and termed the ruthless killing of Kashmiris as part of the Indian government’s systematic genocide campaign.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the DFP Spokesman Advocate Arshad Iqbal while referring to a cordon and search operation in Thajiwara area of Bijbehara in Islamabad district, said that the endless killings were part of the Modi government’s sinister plan to change the region’s demography.

Terming it as a conspiracy aimed at turning the Muslim majority Jammu and Kashmir into a minority area, he said that on one hand India has let loose its troops to kill innocent Kashmiris while on the other it has sped up the efforts to bring a material change in the region by settling outsiders in Kashmir and granting voting rights to non-local labourers and Indian forces’ personnel.

Granting voting rights to outsiders, he said, was an atrocious assault aimed at changing the regions’ electoral landscape.

Urging world human rights to take effective notice of the matter, the DFP spokesman said that it was high time that the HR bodies as well as the UN should play its due role to stop bloodshed and violence in the region and influence the government of India to resolve the dispute in line with the UN resolutions
