ISLAMABAD, Sep 09 (SABAH): So far Pakistan has received 62 relief assistance flights for the flood affectees from different countries of the world.
According to a statement issued by Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad on Friday, so far Pakistan has received total 29 relief assistance flights from United Arab Emirates (UAE), 11 from Turkiye, four from China, one from Uzbekistan, four from Qatar, one from France, two from UNICEF, three from UNHCR, one Turkmenistan, two from the World Food Programme (WFP), one from Jordan and three from United States of America (USA) including one support flight.
Meanwhile in continuation of humanitarian air bridge established between Pakistan and UAE, three relief flights from UAE landed on Friday. One flight was received at Jinnah International airport Karachi and two flights were received at Nur Khan Air Base Rawalpindi.
In total, 29 flights from UAE have landed in Pakistan carrying food, medical supplies and tents etc.
FO spokesperson said that Pakistan is thankful to the Government and people of UAE for showing support and solidarity in these times of grave crisis.
