Another UAE plane carrying relief goods for the flood affectees arrives in Pakistan


KARACHI/ISLAMABAD, Sep 01 (SABAH): In continuation of humanitarian assistance to support the people of Pakistan in aiding relief operations, an additional relief plane from United Arab Emirates (UAE) has landed in Pakistan as part of the humanitarian air bridge established between the two countries.

According to a statement issued by Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, the aircraft carrying relief goods was received by Saeed Ghani, Provincial Minister of Labour at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.

This is the 8th of such flights from UAE carrying relief goods for the people of Pakistan affected by catastrophic floods.

He said that Pakistan is thankful to the government and people of UAE for their support and solidarity with the people of Pakistan to overcome the disastrous situation brought about by floods in Pakistan.

Meanwhile according to a statement issued by UAE Embassy in Pakistan, UAE relief Air Bridge continues in support of flood victims in Pakistan, as plan arrived at Karachi airport on Wednesday, loaded with tons of food, medical supplies and tents to shelter the affected.
