Behaviour of threatening judges & police officers is irksome: Sherry Rehman
ISLAMABAD, August 23 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Climate Change, Senator Sherry Rehman has termed the notice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) against threatening a lady judge “a good omen.”
Sherry Rehman said this in a statement issued on twitter on Tuesday. She said the behaviour of threatening judges and police officers is irksome and continued if this routine was kept continue, it will turn into a custom thus everyone will hurl threats at those responsible for enforcing the law.
The minister said the judicial murder of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was committed and Shaheed Banazir Bhutto kept on facing the courts throughout her life but no one threatened the judges. During the previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Asif Ali Zardari used to be remanded for months, “but we never threatened any judge,” while he is threatening the judge just on a two-day remand, she added.
She said throughout his life, Imran Khan remained ladla (blue-eyed person) of the courts and institutions which is why he considers himself above the law and the courts. She said instead of confessing their mistakes, the PTI leaders are still threatening to jam the country and hiding from the threat of arrest.
