Developed Karachi crucial for developed Pakistan: Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman

KARACHI, August 14 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that the development of Karachi — the duly called mini-Pakistan– was crucial for the progress and development of Pakistan.

The JI leader expressed these views while addressing ceremonies and rallies held to celebrate the Independence Day, on Sunday. The JI leader hoisted a Pakistani flag outside Idara Noor-e-Haq, the JI Karachi headquarters, and also addressed a rally at the University Road.

Speaking on the occasion, Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that for the past 75 years, a bunch of slave families, loyal to their foreign masters, have imposed themselves on the nation. He added that the progress and development of the country was impossible without getting rid of these slaves as they always take turns to rule over the nation but did nothing for national interests and always served their monetary and political interests.

Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Karachi was duly called the mini-Pakistan. It runs the entire country and houses people from across the country without any discrimination of cast, creed, color and beliefs, he said. The JI leader further said that Karachiites took out to celebrate the Independence Day but unfortunately broken roads, stagnant rainwater and garbage on roadsides welcomed them.

He said that last year Karachiites posted a whopping increase of 42 percent in tax submission last year and but was kept deprived of due rights because no political party owns it. Unfortunately, the mega city was always taken for granted, he said, and requested Karachiites to vote for scale, the electoral symbol of the JI, on August 28 for a better future of the city and the country.
