Flag-hoisting ceremony held at Alkhidmat Complex Lahore in connection with the Independence Day


ISLAMABAD, August 14 (SABAH): A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at Alkhidmat Complex Lahore in connection with the Independence Day; whereas, similar ceremonies were also held in Alkhidmat Foundation run ‘Aghosh Homes’, schools and child protection centres.

In these ceremonies the competition of national songs, speeches, quiz competitions and walks were held.

According to details, overall Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan celebrated the day with warmth zeal and the central flag-hoisting ceremony was held in Alkhidmat Complex Lahore. Those who participated include President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Muhammad Abdul Shakoor, Vice President Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Mangat, Secretary General Shahid Iqbal, Secretary General Health Foundation Dr. Zahid Latif, Executive Director Khubaib Bilal and students from various universities.

In his message pertaining to the Independence Day, President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Muhammad Abdul Shakoor called devotion to homeland a part of sacred belief and noted that live nations celebrated their independence with great enthusiasm. Muhammad Abdul Shakoor added that the purpose of celebrating the day with youth was nothing but to inculcate them with the real importance of freedom and make them aware that they were the great assets to the nation. He underlined that only intrepid, active and enthusiastic youngsters could drive the country towards destination.
