Ration distributed among 60 deserving families under Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust Lahore
LAHORE, August 14 (SABAH): Ration was distributed among 60 deserving families in Lahore under Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust Lahore. The ration distribution ceremony was held at Karamat Colony Community Center in Lahore.
While addressing the ceremony on the occasion Program Manager Community Services Afshan Tahir said that the nation is celebrating the 75th Independence Day. She said that the real freedom is freedom from necessities, hunger, poverty and backwardness, adding that until and unless the whole nation did not rise above the poverty line the purposes of the freedom will not fulfill.
Afshan Tahir said that Alkhidmat Foundation is helping the poor and needy people at all levels including making them able to earn livelihood. She said that currently Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is also working for the brothers and sisters affected from flood in Balochistan.
On the occasion, other office bearers Asmat Naheed and Ayshah shed light on the importance of the vote and also introduced the candidates of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan contesting next elections.
