Sirajul Haq announces to approach the court against collection of taxes through electricity bills


LAHORE, August 07 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has announced to approach the court against the collection of taxes through electricity bills. He said that the government should stop throwing electricity on the masses through electricity bills, adding that we will approach the court against the collection of nine types of taxes from consumers. He said that the inflation has snatched the peace of the people. He said that during the last seven decades whether there were political governments or dictatorships both preferred sucking the blood of the masses.

This was stated by Sirajul Haq while addressing the family breakfast ceremony at Johar Town area of Lahore and later on while addressing the participants of the central training workshop at Mansoorah. On the occasion Secretary General JI Ameerul Azim, Emir JI Lahore Zikrullah Mujahid and others were also present.

Sirajul Haq said that during every era the journey of mafias towards prosperity and masses journey towards misery is continuing continuously, adding that the rulers come through selection and not while securing votes. He said that all three big parties are production of the pot of the establishment, adding that the time has come that the masses should stand against those who have made the country slave. He said that all three big parties used the masses for their personal interests. He said that the family of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) while presenting sacrifice had given the message to Muslim Ummah that should stand in front of tyrant, adding that today JI is reviving the tradition of Hussainiat.

Sirajul Haq said that from 12th August the countrywide movement will be started against the collection of taxes in electricity bills, adding that the residents of Lahore should rise against the tyrant policies of the government. He said that JI while playing the role of real opposition will contest the cases of masses at every level.

Sirajul Haq said that economy of the country and national institutions are being destroyed but the decisions of the country are being made in closed rooms of the IMF instead of parliament. Sirajul Haq while expressing concern on the current situation of Palestine said that Gaza is burning and Islamic countries are silent. He said that there is illegal occupation of Jews on Palestine, adding that the Muslim Ummah should raise voice against Israel. He said that Pakistan should demand summoning of OIC meeting while moving forward so that unanimous strategy should be adopted regarding the Palestinian issue.
