Corrupt rulers preferred their personal, ethnic & party interests to national interests: Liaqat Baloch

LOWER DIR, LAHORE, August 6 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jammat-e-Islami and President Political Affairs Committee, Liaqat Baloch has said that corrupt rulers preferred their personal, ethnic and party interests to their national interests.

Liaqat Baloch said this while addressing the public gathering at Lower Dir as well as at the meeting of Political Affairs Committee on Saturday.

He said that freedom is a great blessing of Almighty Allah, adding that preparations regarding celebrations of the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan are going on at high pace but expressed his concerns that “Our beloved homeland and Islamic State is losing the goals of the Pakistan Resolution,” he deplored.

The combined efforts of the entire nation are vital for safeguarding freedom, stability and prosperity of the country so that deteriorating situation and dismemberment of the society could be tackled on the basis of “Two-Nation Theory,” he pointed out. Dictatorships, establishment, State, political electoral setting, lust for power and so-called leadership have caused tremendous losses to the existence of the country, he said, adding that greed, gaining power, safeguarding personal interests and unfair use of power have destroyed electoral parliamentary institutions at the cost of national security and independence.

As per its essence, Pakistan has different and distinguished status, Liaqat Baloch said, adding that it is not just a territory of land but it is a State followed by a particular ideology.

He said that for running the affairs of the State, there are Resolution of Pakistan, Constitution of Pakistan, recommendations of Islamic Ideology Council (IIC), and courts decisions on Islamic economic system; however, the incompetent, greedy and corrupt rulers preferred their personal and party interests to the national interests.

He went on to say that the rulers didn’t give preference to national unity, Constitution, Quran and Sunnah, and democratic parliamentary powers.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami has to rectify these abovementioned issues with renewed vigor and through countrywide public campaign as it can only take the country out of crises by taking on board the patriots, religious figures and honest capable experts. Leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami and workers need to work for enforcement of goals behind the establishment of the country as well as its stability.

Liaqat Baloch congratulated the students of religious seminaries and leadership of Jamiat Talba Arabia on the occasion of its 46th Foundation Day and said that these seminaries and mosques need to play their crucial role for forging Islamic unity as well as awakening the masses.

He said that all the secular powers can be tackled only when youth will put aside all their ethnic and prejudice issues, adding that religious seminaries are precious assets of the country as well as millat.
