Federal govt will complete its term: Saad Rafique

LAHORE, July 19 (SABAH): Federal minister for railways and aviation Khawaja Muhammad Saad Rafique has announced that the federal government will complete its term and take all the required steps for the betterment of the country. Saad Rafique said that we are making all our efforts and with the blessings of Almighty Allah, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif will be the elected chief minister Punjab.

This was announced by Khawaja Saad Rafique while talking to media persons along with JUI-F leader Akram Khan Durrani, ANP leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain, BNP-Mengal leader and Minister for Science and Technology Agha Hassan Baloch, Mutahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan leader Wasim Akhtar, Special Assistant to PM and Jamiat Ahle Hadith leader Senator Dr. Hafiz Abdul Kareem, Federal Minister for Anti-Narcotics Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti, MNA Mohsin Dawar, Special Assistant to PM, Shah Awais Noorani and others after the meeting of the government coalition partners held at the 96-H, Model Town Lahore at the residence of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday.

The meeting was also attended by former president and Pakistan People’s Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, MQM-Pakistan Convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiquie, Interior Minister Rana Sanullah Khan, Sardar Saleh Muhammad Bhutani, Minister for Maritime Affairs Israr Ahmed Tareen, Minister for National Food Security and Research Chaudhry Tariq Bashir Cheema, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Minister for Law and Justice Senator Chaudhry Azam Nazeer Tarar, Akram Khan Durrani, Advisor to PM on Establishment Ahad Khan Cheema, Special Assistant to PM on Public Policy and Strategic Communications Syed Fahad Hussain and other leaders.

Saad Rafique said that during the meeting the political, economic and other issues were discussed. He said that federal government, Punjab government, Sindh government, Balochstan government and even our opponent government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa enjoys full right to complete their constitutional terms. He said that the federal government will complete its term and will take all the required steps for the betterment of the country, adding that in this regard spreading ambiguity should be stopped.

Saad Rafique said that the bye-polls of Punjab are not the standard of evaluating the popularity or disapproval of any party as PML-N had failed to secure even a single seat out of these 20 seats in 2018 elections but now PML-N has secured five out 20 seats. He said that independent candidates were installed for Imran Khan through hatching a conspiracy in 2018 elections but today Imran Khan has become the champion of democracy. He said that PML-N and its coalition partners have won the five seats, adding that 39 percent votes of PML-N have increased as compared to 2018 elections. He said that we will face the falsehood, conspiracy and fitna with full force. He said that Imran Khan has prepared a group of misguided people and this group is present everywhere and some people are not ready to mend their way.

Saad Rafique said that out leadership has rendered their lives, faced jails, faced exiles and also faced loss of lives and properties for the supremacy of the constitution and democracy in the country. He said that Imran Khan first time bowed before Parvez Musharraf for polishing his shoes. He said that Imran Khan terms other cherry blossom, adding that who he himself is? Saad Rafique said that Imran Khan always played while joining hands with umpires, adding that Imran Khan being painted from 2011 to weaken the democratic forces and strengthen this person.

Saad Rafique said that Pakistan is standing at the door of bankruptcy due to the four years actions of Imran Khan. He said that the decisions could not come on the NAB cases in nearly four years because there was not proof, adding that during the tenure of previous government the NAB was used to take action on the newspaper stories. He said that why today NAB is not taking action on the cases of Tosha Khana, billion tree tsunami and corruption of Imran Khan’s family, adding that the notice of these matters should be taken. He said that why Election Commission of Pakistan is not delivering judgment in PTI foreign funding case, adding that we demand with full force that the decision of foreign funding pending from many years should be announced.

Saad Rafique said that million of rupees being spent by Imran Khan on social media, from where this money is coming, adding that this will be investigated that from where this money is coming for which purpose  this money is being spent. Saad Rafique said that legislation is our right and no compromise will be made on this right, adding that we will not remain silent on this matter. He said that it could not happen that parliament does something in the larger interest of Pakistan and it is undone. He said that there is no room for this federal parliamentary system of Pakistan and 1973 constitution. He said that PDM, PPP and ANP have reservations regarding apex court’s decision about interpretation of Article 63-A and we all think that this verdict is against the will of the Constitution. Saad Rafique said that the review petition of Supreme Court Bar Association is pending before the apex court and it is request that the full court of the apex court may hear this review petition and verdict may also been announced as soon as possible on this review petition.

He said that there is clear division of the powers in the Constitution, adding that legislation is right of parliament and we think that there should be no interference in this right. He said that Imran Khan is hatching conspiracy to make institutions controversial.

Saad Rafique said that we think MNA Ali Wazir should be released and justice should be done with him but the institutions are present which will provide justice to him.
