Passing bill for use of EVMs in next general elections defeat of opposition who wants rigging in polls: Murad Saeed


SWAT, Nov 19 (SABAH): Federal Minister for communications Murad Saeed has said passing bill for the use of Electronic Voting Machines in the next general elections is the defeat of the opposition who wants rigging in polls.

Addressing a public gathering in Swat on Friday, he said the reforms in the electoral system are aimed at bringing transparency in the electoral process besides giving the right of vote to overseas Pakistanis. Murad Saeed said that PTI will again come into power after winning next general elections on the basis of its performance.

Meanwhile, addressing on the occasion, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan said that previous governments had no plan for the development of the country except looting the national wealth. Mahmood Khan said billions of rupees have been reserved for giving subsidies on food items under Ehsaas Programme.
