Ali Raza Syed meets Head of Civilian Liberties Committee of EU parliament, Situation in IOK discussed


BRUSSELS, Nov 18 (SABAH): Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) Ali Raza Syed met Chair of Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home affairs MEP Juan Fernando López Aguilar at his office in the parliament in Brussels.

During the meeting Ali Raza Syed briefed the EU’s parliament office bearer about the latest severe situation of Indian occupied Kashmir, particularly constant cold blooded murders of the civilian in the occupied valley.

In a statement which issued after the meeting Ali Raza Syed said, he briefed the MEP who made it clear that EU gives preference to human rights in all of the world. We condemns violations of human rights every where.

Chairman KC-EU said, a doctor and three traders were killed in a cold blooded murder in Hyderpora area of Srinagar recently which is a brutal example of Indian state terrorism.

Ali Raza Syed described that continually killing of the civilians is strongly condemnable act. He also condemned detention of a student namely Asif Shabir Naik in the occupied Kashmir. He said, Kashmiri students are also not safe from the Indian brutalities.

It is important to mention that Kashmir Council EU has increased its move in Europe including meetings with the EU’s officials and European parliamentarians in order to raise voice against the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.  Ali Raza Syed said, we are asking European authorities to use their good offices to stop human rights violations particularly fresh waves of the cold blooded murders of the civilians in occupied Kashmir.

He said, we shall constantly raise our voice in the European institutions against the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.  He asked the international community not to be silent on genocide of the innocent people in occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

EU and UN should come forward to stop human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and play their role for just resolution of Kashmir issue.
