According to vision of PM Shehbaz we have made increase of 68% in HEC budget for 2022-23 financial year: Ahsan Iqbal
NAROWAL, June 11 (SABAH): Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry has said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif we have made increase of 68 percent in the budget of Higher Education Commission (HEC), adding that we have allocated Rs 44 billion for HEC in budget of 2022-23 as compared to the Rs 23 billion last financial year.
While addressing the “Paigham-e-Pakistan Conference” in Narowal on Saturday, Ahsan Iqbal said that we have to eradicate every kind of hatred from our society. He said that Pakistan after 75 years of its establishment is still far away from its destination, which was dreamed by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Ahsan Iqbal said that I am helpless to say that we have wasted 75 years, adding that we never allowed continuity of the policies in Pakistan. He said that whenever any government tried to give long term project to the country, this government was ousted. He said that in 2014, the PML-N government formed vision 2025 to include Pakistan in 20 top economies of the world but in 2018 through a rigged election such a government was imposed which was incompetent and inexperience.
Ahsan Iqbal said that it is our vision that in every district the university campus should be established. He said that the government is going to start scheme in the budget in which student of every university could purchase laptop on easy installments.
Ahsan Iqbal said that said that the government is establishing 250 vocational institutes across the country to equip youth with skills based education. He said that the youth is an asset of the country and Laptops on easy installments will also be provided to them. He said that we will continue to make efforts to eliminate extremism and intolerance from society which has damaged the country badly.
