People of KP have rejected the long march based on anarchy & sedition: Maryam Nawaz

MANSEHRA, May 29 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have rejected the long march based on anarchy and sedition and Shahbaz Sharif will heal the wounds inflicted by Imran Khan.

Addressing a public gathering in Mansehra, Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that Shehbaz Sharif is the real servant of Pakistan who changed the destiny of Punjab and he will also change the fate of Pakistan.

“I promise that the wounds that Imran Khan inflicted on the chest of Pakistan will be healed by Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif,” Maryam said.

Taking a dig at PTI chairman, she further said that Imran Khan used the resources of KP for the failed march, adding that KP’s people rights were also sacrificed for the failed sit-in “Imran Khan was disappeared from Islamabad in the morning while he left the people for dying,” she added.

She praised the incumbent government’s recent steps taken for Pakistan’s “prosperity”. The PML-N leader said the prime minister was the “actual servant of the people, who had worked day and night for the development of Punjab, and under him, Pakistan’s fate would change”.

Maryam Nawaz said the taxpayers’ money could have been used to set up schools and colleges in the province, but the PTI chairman deemed it better to utilise them for his march.

The PML-N leader noted that the ousted prime minister used the KP CM’s helicopter for traveling, while some of the cars in the jalsa were of government number plates.

She said Imran Khan had promised the people of holding a sit-in, but in the morning — when the march reached Islamabad — he “made a run for it” by calling it off. Maryam berated the PTI chairman for asking the Pakistani youth to lay down their lives for his march, but would not ask his own children to come back from London and partake in the anti-government campaign.

She said revolutions neither come through helicopters nor a parachute” — taking a jibe at the PTI leaders who jumped ships. “People were more teary-eyed because of Imran’s betrayal than the shellings.”

Maryam Nawaz said Hazara Motorway is a gift for the people of Hazara division from Nawaz Sharif. She said with great efforts, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will change the destiny of the nation.

Maryam Nawaz congratulated the people of the area for rejecting the politics of sit-ins and elected Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in local government elections. She said despite utilizing its provincial government resources, the PTI lost the election.
