Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan hands over relief goods consisting of 10 trucks to Afghan officials for the flood affectees


LAHORE, May 24 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan under Pak-Afghan Cooperation Forum has handed over relief goods consisting of 10 trucks at the Torkham Border to Afghan officials for the affectees of heavy rains and flood in Afghan provinces of Baghlan, Badkhashan and Takkar. The relief goods include canvases, tents, wheat, food packages, medicines and other important items.

The ceremony was attended by Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Khalid Waqas, Haji Hassan Khan Shinwari, local chairman Haji Abdul Rauf Shinwari, provincial media manager Noorul Wahid Jadoon, Afghan officials Maulvi Shamsuddin Haqyar, Maulvi Saifullah Khalid, Jan Aqqa Haidery, border officials and Pak-Afghan Cooperation Forum officials.

On the occasion Khalid Waqas informed that so far Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has handed over 1411 tonns relief goods consisting of 67 trucks to the Afghan officials for the Afghan affectees. The cost of these relief goods is Rs 320 million. Khalid Waqas said that it is our resolve that in the time of trial every possible help of the Afghan flood affectees will be carried out.

On the occasion of the handing over of the relief goods, the high officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan on behalf Afghan people thanked Pakistani people, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and Government of Pakistan.
