Agreement signed with TLP will come in front of masses in next few days: Sheikh Rashid 

ISLAMABAD, Nov 13 (SABAH): Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that an agreement has been singed with TLP and the agreement will come in front of the masses in next few days, adding that he was not part of this agreement. He said that whatever matters have been settled these will come in front of masses in next one week or 10 days. He said that so far 78 organizations have been declared banned, adding that TLP was banned on the request of Punjab government by the interior ministry. He said that the ban has been lifted from TLP on the request of Punjab government by following the due legal process.

 While talking to media persons in Islamabad after attending the police function on Saturday, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that our government has completed three and half years and opposition will take six months for warming up, adding that the real time for launching movement or staging sit-in was when Maulana Fazlur Rehman had arrived in Islamabad first time. Sheikh Rashid said that until and unless someone breaks law, the Islamabad police will take no action. Replying a question about the PML-Q, Sheikh Rashid said that whenever some issue comes the people make demands. 

Sheikh Rashid said that his party is supporting Prime Minister Imran Khan and is also supporting electronic voting machines and I am supporter of the thinking of Imran Khan that the rigging allegations are being leveled from 1970s and I am supporter of Imran Khan’s thinking that EVMs should be used, adding that for international voting the negotiations could be held and ballot could be used for this purpose. 

Sheikh Rashid said that the names of Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Fawad Hassan Fawad are already on the ECL but NAB had requested to place the names of Shehbaz and Fawad in another case on ECL 15 or 20 days ago.

 He said that the crime rate should be decreased in Islamabad, adding that he will visit the families of the six martyred police personnel. Replying a question, Sheikh Rashid said that there is only one problem of the government which is inflation and we will overcome this problem. Sheikh Rashid said that Imran Khan will complete five years term as the opposition has started the election campaign, adding that it is right of the opposition to hold public gatherings but I have complaint that opposition has late started the public gatherings.
