Hafiz Naeemur Rehman meets with the Palestinian Ambassador Dr. Zuhair Zaid, welcomes him on his appointment in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, LAHORE, Nov 13 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman met with the Ambassador of Palestine Dr. Zuhair Zaid at the Palestinian Embassy in Islamabad. He welcomed the new Palestinian ambassador on his appointment in Pakistan.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that we are standing by the Palestinian people in the struggle for the freedom of Palestine, adding our policy towards Palestine is the same as the policy of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was and which was announced by the Muslims of India in 1940 in Pakistan Resolution. He said that the freedom of Bait-ul-Maqdis is part of the faith of every Muslim.

He said that every worker of Jamaat-e-Islami is the champion of the freedom of Al-Quds and the entire Pakistani nation is united and unison on the issue of Palestine. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan will continue its activities to help the people of Gaza and we will speed it up further.

The Palestinian ambassador paid tribute to the efforts of the people of Pakistan and Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and said that the Palestinians consider Pakistan as their second home and Pakistan’s support is very important for the Palestinians.

He said that Zionism is based on ethnic pride and it is an inhumane ideology that justifies the killing of non-Jewish innocent people, even innocent women and children.

He said that the Zionist ideology poses threats to the peace of the entire region. He said that we are grateful to the governments of Islamic countries and we understand that more practical steps are needed. Director of Foreign Affairs of Jamaat-e-Islami Asif Luqman Qazi was also present in the meeting.
