Martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto was a national tragedy: Liaqat Baloch
LAHORE, Dec 27 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and former parliamentary leader in the National Assembly, Liaqat Baloch has said that establishment is imposing game of blue-eyed and another blue-eyed.
Liaqat Baloch expressed these views during meeting of Central Election Cell and consultative meeting of election campaign. In the consultative meetings, Ameerul Azim, Dr. Fareed Ahmed Paracha, Muhammad Javed Qasuri, Ziauddin Ansari, Zikrullah Mujahid, Khalid Butt, Akhlaq Ahmed and others were present.
Liaqat Baloch said that martyrdom of former prime minister, former opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was a national tragedy. “I had an opportunity to work with her in the National Assembly, opposition and national political front and found her competent and audacious leader,” he remarked.
It is a debacle that all governments including the governments of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) could not unfold the murder of former prime minister, he said and added Benazir Bhutto continued politics of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto but afterwards the PPP indulged in interest-based rule and sea of corruption.
He further said that workers of Jamaat-e-Islami have to convince people through electoral campaign to vote in favour of Jamaat-e-Islami’s symbol “scale” and put an end to crisis of uncertainty and disappointment. He said that nomination papers on seats of National Assembly, provincial assembly, women and minorities have been submitted across the country.
Liaqat Baloch said that incapable, incompetent two groups are imposed on the nation with a particular strategy. He said still establishment is imposing game of blue-eyed and another blue-eyed which would remain a futile effort and added that Jamaat-e-Islami through its elections campaign would prepare the voters to deal with such conspiracies.
